The JCU Bookshop sells most major software packages. Students often receive a discounted price. Whether you qualify for the student price depends on the software publisher. See below for some of the larger software publishers.

Who can buy Microsoft software at academic prices?
If you are a student of any University, TAFE or Vocational College, you may qualify for Microsoft academic product if:
* You are studying a recognised course that will result in a federally recognised qualification (eg. Certificate 1 to 4, Diploma, Degree..) AND
* Your course is longer than 6 months AND
* You can present photo id

Who can buy Symantec (Norton), Adobe or Macromedia software at academic prices?
We will sell Symantec, Adobe and Macromedia academic product to any full-time high school student, TAFE or University student who can produce appropriate identification.

SPSS
SPSS Graduate Pack for Windows (Mac version is available to order) is available to Students and Post-Graduates for a reduced price. The Graduate Pack has a licence that is valid for approximately 4 years and is an educational tool, not intended for commercial use. Technical support is limited to installation questions only.
Autodesk Software
A range of Autodesk software is available to Students that can supply supporting documentation proving they are studying a course that requires the use of an Autodesk product or similar. The Student licence is valid for 2 years and will need to be renewed if your course extends past this time frame. For more details please contact the Bookshop.
